Pondicherry Technological University (PTU), established in 2020, is the first state public technological university in Puducherry, evolving from the prestigious Pondicherry Engineering College (PEC) founded in 1984. Pondicherry University admission 2025 is open for all courses. The university offers various integrated PG, postgraduate, and doctoral-level programmes in the fields of Science, Arts, Management, Commerce, Law, among others. All these courses are offered via the 57 departments under it. Admission to a majority of UG and PG courses at Pondicherry University is subject to CUET UG and CUET PG exams.
Pondicherry University also conducted the NCET exam for admission to its four-year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) BA-B.Ed, Integrated BSc-B.Ed courses. Interested students can apply for these exams and then apply to the university with a valid score. The University also runs a special programme, called Study in India Programme (SIP) for international students
